Despite no posts for the past month, we really haven't fallen off a cliff or gone into hiding... we're just so dang busy! Life has really gotten away from me this past month. I am behind on everything, and posting is just another example of this. But since I can't let all of these cute pictures and memories just gather dust on the shelf (or in the file on my computer), I'll try to catch up in the next few days....
My FIRST Mother's Day!
Mother's day was no exception to our crazy life. But it was so fun! We woke up early so we could spend time with both of our mothers. When I came downstairs, I found a very sweet gift from my two boys. I got a cute little picture of Jack for my desk at work and an AMAZING hanging basket for the backyard. Oh, and I LOVE sushi, but I haven't been since before I had Jack. So Griff got me a gift certificate to go to Tsunami... which we have since used and believe me, it was so good and long overdue! My sweet husband also gave me some great foot lotions and soaks with a promise for a great foot massage. What a fabulous gift!
The day was busy, but happy. We spent the morning with Cindy having omeletes and enjoying each other. Then we spent the evening with my Mom. The boys planned a lasagne dinner all by themselves, so the girls just got to relax and enjoy. Griff and I are so thankful for our wonderful mothers. It was fun to celebrate them... and kind of crazy to be one myself this year. But honestly, I have loved being a mother to my cute baby Jack. It is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. And being a mother just makes me appreciate and love Griff and I's mothers even more.
