Funny Face

I love these two pictures of our cute little boy. He was in this super hyper crazy mood that night. It was my mother-in-law's birthday dinner at Market Street Grill. We had so much fun celebrating her. She is such a good mom and grandma. Little Jack adores his grandma, and he was almost her birthday present! :) Just one day late. Anyway, usually he is a little angel in restaurants. He loves eating and watching people.... But this night he was just a little goofus. He was kind of driving me crazy, actually. But now, every time I see these cute little faces, I just want to plant kisses all over them. I love that baby!

More Onions Please!

Occasionally Griff and I go out to eat at JCWs (AKA the best burger joint in town). :) And Jack's a fan, too. What with all those people to look at, little bites of burger, french fries, and the occasional bite of ice cream that daddy slips him. But who would have known that all of this would take second place to a nice thick slice of raw onion. It was hilarious! Griff had taken the onions off of his burger, and at some point during dinner thought it would be funny to see Jack's reaction to taking a bite out of it. Here is Jack, clutching his french fry. I mean death grip on the french fry. Griff offers him a bite of the onion... hmmm... not bad. A few minutes later, Griff gets ready to give him a taste of ice cream and just for fun I offer him the onion with it. He immediately drops the french fry, ignores the proffered ice cream, and refuses to let go of the onion until he consumes the whole thing! What's more, he reached over and grabbed the second onion slice and ate it, too! And no amount of tempting french fries or spoonfuls of ice cream could divert his attention until the onions were safely in his belly. :) His breath reeked that night and the whole next day... seriously!

29th Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I know birthdays bother some people, but I have always loved mine. And the last one of my 20s was no exception. Jack slept in until almost 8 o'clock... amazing! And Griff surprised me with the cutest outfit that I got to wear all day. It didn't stop there... My sister, Brittany, was here from Seattle. She took me out to lunch at the Blue Lemon, which was scrumptious! Then she made me a dinner of Tuscan Lentil Soup, Breadsticks, and Perfect Lemon Cake for dessert (go to The Sisters' Cafe for recipes). After dinner, my family all got together for a bowling night. It was so fun. I love making memories like this with my beloved family.

Lucky me... I got a second birthday party with my in-laws. It was on the day of the BYU vs Utah football game, so I got my very own BYU birthday cake (BYU was written in icing all over the sides). Go Cougars!!!! I couldn't help including pictures of my cute little Jazz player wearing his "D Will" jersey like his cousin Coleman. :) Jack is so funny these days - tearing around on his hands and knees, crawling under/over/through everything he can find, and big open mouthed kisses. What better way to spend my birthday than with this sweet little boy, awesome husband, and all the family I love!
