Pirate's Cove

Griff, Matt, Amy and I were invited to Pirate's Cove in May.  For those of you who haven't heard of it, Pirate's Cove is this unbelievable $50 million private pirate themed mansion at Lake Mead.  It was purchased in the 90s, and the owner has slowly added on here and there to make it a pirate paradise.  It has three pools, water slides, a pirate ship and mast, rope walkways, and the details, oh the details are my favorite part!.... cute pirate stuff everywhere!  I just can't do it justice, but suffice it to say that this place was the most amazing home I have EVER seen.  EVER.

Griff and I stayed in the room right behind the upper pool in this picture.  Our room had a private sauna, cool eh?  There was a scorpion in a cage right outside of our room... as well as slushie and ice cream machines, which turned out to be much more dangerous than the scorpion.  :)

Here are some pictures of us jumping off the pirate's mast. The crow's nest was 45 ft tall... which Matt and Griff jumped off of. Here's Griff...

And Amy...

And Mindy... I know, I know.  I am SO graceful!

And Matt...

I probably have several hundred pictures of pirate's cove, which I am tempted to post. Instead, watch the video Griff made below. For some reason the embedded video cut off the right side a little, so if you want to see the video at its best, click on the You Tube link below. I think Griff did a great job, especially considering it was one of his first videos.
